A mountain terrace above the High Atlas valley

The Atlas setting is the most dramatic of the four Long Table locations. A terrace carved into the mountain above the valley, with the snow-capped peaks in view and the air noticeably thinner than the city below. Light lingers here differently. The last colour leaves the sky later.

Getting to the Atlas is part of the experience. The drive from Marrakech climbs through the foothills of the High Atlas, passing Berber villages and river gorges. By the time the table comes into view, the city feels like a different country.

Guests leave Marrakech in the afternoon by private transfer so that the climb happens in daylight and the arrival coincides with the end of it. The terrace is privatised for the group: one table, set facing the chain, with the valley dropping away below. Dinner is served as the peaks hold the last light and the air cools. The cold is part of the setting; so are the stars, which feel closer at altitude than anywhere else on the plain. The evening ends with the descent back to the city, lights in the valley the whole way down.

The Atlas terrace suits groups that want a sense of occasion and a change of scale: an incentive evening at the end of a programme, a seminar dinner that rewards a long day, a celebration for a group that has already seen the desert and wants the mountain, a private dinner for guests who will remember the drive as much as the table.
