A morning of craft, desert and feast
The day begins in the hands of local artisans: a pottery session in the traditional manner, forming clay under quiet instruction in the Agafay light. From there, a camel ride carries the group across the plateau, the stone desert stretching in every direction.
A guided desert hike follows through the ochre terrain, with group activities woven into the afternoon to connect and ground the retreat. Then comes the feast: a whole mechoui slow-roasted over open embers, Moroccan meze, fresh bread, and pastries served under the open Agafay sky. Private transfers from Marrakech are included throughout.

Dinner under the Milky Way
As the afternoon cools, camels carry the group through the golden light of the plateau at the hour when the desert changes colour. The whole mechoui has been slow-roasting over embers since mid-afternoon: the scent reaches the group long before the table comes into view.
The feast unfolds with Moroccan meze and the mechoui carved tableside, accompanied by live Gnaoua music that deepens as the evening progresses. When the last light fades, a professional stargazer guides the group through the constellations: the Agafay plateau is among the darkest skies within forty minutes of a major city, and on clear nights the Milky Way is fully visible with the naked eye. This Agafay desert experience culminates in a private dinner under open sky, a closing ritual that retreat groups return to year after year. Private transfers from Marrakech are included.
What is included
Marrakech is about three hours by direct flight from Paris, London, Madrid, Milan, Geneva, Zurich, Brussels and Amsterdam. Morocco shares the UK timezone and sits one hour from Central Europe, so retreat groups land without jet lag and can be on the plateau the same day. From October to May, when Northern Europe is dark and cold, the Agafay offers reliably warm days and clear nights: the natural season for a winter retreat. The same table also anchors seminar and offsite closing nights and fully privatized product launches in the desert.
