A luxury desert lodge on the plateau

The lodge setting is The Long Table at its most immersive. Canvas and wood structures pitched on the plateau, lanterns at ground level, a fire burning at the centre of the camp. There are no other buildings in view, no road noise, no neighbours. The horizon belongs entirely to the group.

The kitchen works from the lodge: mechoui slow-cooked over embers, tagines held in clay over charcoal, Moroccan pastries made in the afternoon. The team lives on-site for the duration of the event. The lodge can be extended to a two-night format for groups that want more than a single evening.

Guests arrive by private transfer from Marrakech as the afternoon turns, and find the camp already alive: the fire lit at the centre, the lanterns set along the ground, the long table laid between the tents with the Atlas open on the horizon. The lodge is privatised for the group, with no other guests on the plateau. Dinner is served by the fire from the tagines and the embers, and the evening continues under the stars. Groups that stay over wake on the plateau, and the team is still there in the morning.

The lodge is the right setting for groups that want to stay rather than just dine: a seminar or incentive programme that runs over two days, a team-building retreat, a yoga or wellness retreat, a wedding weekend where the party does not want to return to the city, a birthday or a celebration that wants the whole night rather than just the dinner. The two-night format turns the evening into a short stay.

Lodge settings are available across the Agafay plateau and at select points in the Atlas foothills.
