La Palmeraie

A private garden north of Marrakech

The Palmeraie is the ancient palm grove that once bordered Marrakech to the north. Private estates here open their gardens for a single evening, a single table. Lanterns are strung between the palms. The city is close enough to feel, far enough to disappear.

The Long Table sets its table in the Palmeraie for groups that want warmth: the canopy above, the firelight below, the sound of the trees. Dinner begins at golden hour, with timings agreed with you from the brief, all-inclusive, with no other guests on the property.

The evening begins as the light turns. Guests arrive by private transfer from their hotel or riad, walk through the gardens and orchards of the estate and find the long table already laid under the palms, candlelight on the linen. The property is privatised for the night: one group, one table, nothing else on the grounds. Dinner is served course by course as the lanterns take over from the sun, and the evening unfolds at its own pace until the last transfers leave at a time agreed at the brief.

Because the grove sits only a few minutes from the centre, the Palmeraie suits evenings where the journey should stay short: a wedding dinner the night before or after the ceremony, a birthday or an anniversary with family of every age, a seminar closing dinner for a team that has spent the day in meetings, or a private celebration that wants a garden rather than a desert. It is the warmest and most intimate of the Long Table settings, and the easiest to reach.
