A bachelor or bachelorette party in Marrakech works well when the whole group has the setting to itself, and a privatised desert site 40 minutes from the city does exactly that. We host 30 to 300 guests, plus other sizes on request, with one group at a time and nobody else on site.
Why the desert for a bachelor or bachelorette party
Most celebrations of this kind end up in a venue shared with strangers. In the Agafay desert, your group has the whole evening and the whole site. There is space to move, music that can carry across the plateau, and a landscape that makes every photograph look like a film still, with the Atlas on the horizon and a sky full of stars after sunset.
It also suits larger and mixed groups. Friends, cousins, parents and the future spouse's own circle can all be there without anyone feeling out of place, which is hard to achieve in a nightclub or a hotel terrace. For a wider view of the site, see our Agafay desert venue guide.
Choosing the format
- A private evening. Arrival at golden hour, a long shared table, music and a show, then the journey back. The simplest format, and the one most groups choose.
- An afternoon, then dinner. Activities in the late afternoon, a pause to watch the light change, then dinner. It gives the group more time together.
- A weekend with several moments. A welcome evening, a day of activities, a main night in the desert, and a relaxed lunch to close. Guests stay in Marrakech or nearby, and we compose the moments that take place with us.
Our bachelorette evenings in the Agafay desert page shows how a classic evening is composed.
Activities that work for a group
There is no fixed package. Each celebration is composed from the people involved and the story you want to tell. These ideas are frequently chosen:
- Camel ride at sunset. Gentle, photogenic, and open to nearly everyone in the group.
- Cooking initiation. A hands-on session with the chefs before dinner, a good way to break the ice between friends who do not know each other.
- Quad ride across the plateau. A livelier option for the more adventurous guests, studied with the team according to the group.
- A wellness moment. A relaxing session studied with the team, ideal the day before or the morning after.
- Music and DJ. Live Gnaoua music for the arrival, then a DJ for the rest of the evening.
- A show and a light display. A staged moment in the dark, with lighting designed for the whole plateau.
- Henna and personal surprises. Small touches prepared for the guest of honour.
Group logistics
- Transfers. Private transfers from Marrakech to the site and back are part of our offer. The last stretch is a 4x4 track, so we organise vehicles and departure waves with you.
- Privacy. One group per evening, which means no other guests, no shared dining area and a freedom of tone that is difficult to find elsewhere.
- One contact. A single coordinator handles the details with you or your planner, from the first brief to the evening itself.
- Arrivals. Direct flights make Marrakech easy to reach: about 3 h 30 from London, about 3 h from Paris. See our guide to flight times for event groups.
Theme ideas
A theme gives the evening a thread without turning it into a costume party. Some ideas that suit the desert: a white evening under the stars, golden hour in earth tones, an Arabian nights mood with lanterns and carpets, a festival feel with a strong DJ moment, or a quiet, elegant dinner with the theme carried by flowers and light. Guest designers can shape the scenography around the idea you choose.
Calendar: when to go
The ideal season runs from October to May, when days are warm, evenings are cool and the sky is clear. We advise against the summer months, when the heat makes outdoor time difficult. For more on the calendar, read choosing the season for an event in the Agafay desert. We take reservations from mid-December 2026.
Mistakes to avoid
- Planning the whole weekend before agreeing the guest list and the main night.
- Forgetting transfers and leaving guests to find their own way to the site.
- Overfilling the programme: leave time to sit, talk and watch the sunset.
- Choosing a venue shared with other groups when the point is to have the place to yourselves.
- Sending guests no practical message: pick-up time, dress, and the fact that evenings get cooler after sunset.
Key points to remember
- The site is privatised for one group at a time, 40 minutes from Marrakech.
- Formats run from a single evening to a full weekend, for 30 to 300 guests.
- Choose two or three activities, not ten, and let the dinner be the centre.
- Transfers are included in the organisation, and one contact coordinates everything.
- Plan between October and May, and avoid the summer.
- Our team stays alongside your participants throughout their stay in Morocco, for any need or any idea.
