What Determines the Budget
of a Private Event in Marrakech

The budget of a private event in Marrakech depends on five things: the number of guests, the scenography, the chefs, the shows and activities, and the transfers. At The Long Table, a fully private site in the Agafay desert 40 minutes from Marrakech, the formula is all inclusive and composed around one group per evening, from 30 to 300 guests and beyond, so the proposal you receive reflects your brief rather than a standard package.

The Five Drivers

What moves the budget, and why

Number of guests

The first variable. It sets the tables, the service team, the kitchens, the transfers and the scale of the décor, from 30 to 300 guests and beyond.

Scenography

A long table under the stars is one thing; a landscape lit by guest designers, with installations and a stage, is another. You decide how far the décor goes.

Chefs

A menu by our team, or a guest chef invited for the evening. The choice shapes the kitchen, the produce and the service.

Shows and activities

Music, live performances, dance, activities before dinner. Each addition is composed for the group and counted as such.

Transfers

Guests are driven 40 minutes from Marrakech and back. The number of vehicles, departure points and timing follow the guest list.

All Inclusive

What the formula already covers

  • Full privatisation of the site: one group per evening, nobody else present
  • Décor and table setting composed for your number
  • Catering and service by our team
  • Lights, sound and power brought to the desert
  • Transfers from Marrakech and back

The Brief

How to get an accurate proposal

01 · Give the number and the date

An approximate number of guests and the dates you have in mind are enough to start. Precision comes later.

02 · Describe the evening

The occasion, the level of scenography you imagine, whether you want a guest chef, shows or activities. A few lines will do.

03 · Receive one proposal

We send a written, all-inclusive proposal composed around your brief. No standard package, nothing hidden.

To Avoid

Mistakes that distort a budget

Comparing a shared venue with a private one

A hotel terrace includes other guests. A privatised site includes nobody but you. The two are not the same product.

Adding the pieces separately

Venue, caterer, décor, lights, transfers and coordination bought one by one rarely add up to what one team composes together.

Deciding the number last

Guests drive everything else. Settle an approximate number first.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a standard package for a private event?

No. Each event is composed around one group and its brief, so we send a written, all-inclusive proposal after you tell us the number of guests, the date and the occasion.

What has the biggest influence on the budget?

The number of guests. It determines the tables, the service team, the kitchens, the transfers and the scale of the décor. Scenography, chefs, shows and transfers follow from it.

Is the venue hire separate from the catering and décor?

No. The formula is all inclusive: privatisation of the site, décor, catering, team, lights and transfers are composed together in one proposal.

What do I need to send to receive a proposal?

An approximate number of guests, the dates you have in mind and a few lines on the occasion. Write through the request page or to table@thelongtablemarrakech.com.
