Launching a Product or Brand in Morocco on a Private Site

To launch a product or a brand in Morocco, choose a privatised site where the product carries the whole story: write the narrative first, invite a small and deliberate mix of press, partners and creators, plan the content capture in advance and settle the logistics early. A private site in the desert, 40 minutes from Marrakech, gives you a setting no one else is using.

Start with the story

A launch is an argument made in a room: this product exists, and this is why it matters. Before the venue, write the story in a few sentences, and decide the single moment of the evening where the product is revealed. Everything else, from the menu to the lighting to the order of the speeches, should serve that moment. A site like the Agafay plateau helps because it does not compete with you. The stone landscape, the Atlas on the horizon and the sky are simple and strong, and they give the product a setting that guests will remember and photographs will carry.

There is no standard package at The Long Table Marrakech. Each evening is composed from the brand story outward, with guest designers for scenography and guest chefs for the table.

Who to invite

The guest list decides how far the launch travels. A useful mix includes journalists and editors, creators with a real audience, retail or distribution partners, key clients and your own team, kept small. Our base formats run from 30 to 300 guests, up to 300 seated at one table, with smaller groups possible on request. One table has a practical advantage for a launch: everyone hears the story at the same time and the conversation stays shared rather than split across a room.

  • Send invitations with the practical information guests need: dress, what the evening includes and how they will travel.
  • Separate the invitation to press from the invitation to partners if your messages differ.
  • Decide in advance who sits next to whom. A launch is a series of introductions.

Press and content

Treat content as part of the programme, not something added at the end. Decide who captures what: your agency or production team, photographers, videographers, creators. Agree the shot list and the moments to cover, such as arrival at golden hour, the reveal, the table and the closing. Content from a private site is cleaner because no other guests or groups appear in the frame, and the light at sunset does much of the work.

If you plan to use drones or large crews, check what authorisations are required with the competent authorities and with us, well before the date. We coordinate with your team and can introduce trusted local production partners for staging, signage and capture. Nothing is photographed or published beyond what you have agreed in writing.

Logistics: product, people and fallback

Three practical matters deserve early attention. First, the product itself: if it must travel to Morocco, talk to your freight forwarder and the competent customs authorities well in advance about import rules and timing. Second, the people: private transfers from Marrakech to the site and back are included in our offer, and the last stretch is by 4x4 track, so plan vehicles and arrival waves with us. Third, the plan B: agree a written fallback for weather or delays during preparation, so the launch never has to be improvised.

Also consider power and sound. Discreet power, lighting and sound for a reveal can be studied with you from the brief, and we work with your production team on the technical side.

Key points to remember

  • Write the story first and design one clear reveal moment.
  • Invite a small, deliberate mix of press, partners, creators and clients.
  • Plan content capture and any required authorisations early.
  • Talk to your forwarder and the customs authorities about shipping the product.
  • Agree a written fallback plan with the team.
