Family Office Gathering
in Marrakech
The Family Office Gathering is a two day meeting for a family and its next generation, held on a privatised plateau in the Agafay desert 40 minutes from Marrakech. It is composed for 20 to 80 guests, and from 12 guests on request, with sessions in the morning, shared experiences in the afternoon and a family dinner at a long table.
Send a briefThe Idea
A family together, away from the office
Families that share a business, a fortune or a foundation rarely meet outside a boardroom or a holiday. Yet the questions that matter, transmission, values, roles for the next generation, are better asked in a place without desks.
This format gives them two days in a landscape with no neighbours and no interruption. The mornings are for work, with a guest speaker if the family wishes. The afternoons are for doing something together, so that the generations meet on common ground.
Everything is organised so that the family can concentrate on each other. The site is closed, the team is discreet and there is a single point of contact.
Audience
Who it is for
Those who convene families and want a setting that supports the conversation:
- Family offices organising an annual family assembly or a governance meeting
- Private banks and wealth advisers hosting a client family and its next generation
- Members' clubs and networks of business families
- Families who hold a regular meeting and want to change its setting
- Planners who coordinate a multi-generation programme for a client
Programme
How the two days unfold
Timings are studied with you from the brief. A typical structure:
1 · Arrival and welcome
Families are collected in Marrakech and driven to the plateau. A walk on the site and a quiet lunch let everyone arrive before the work begins.
2 · Morning sessions
Sessions on transmission, governance or family projects, with an invited speaker if you wish. The format is open air or in a tent, with no screens unless the session needs them.
3 · Shared afternoons
Experiences everyone can join: a workshop with local craftspeople, a cooking session with a chef, a walk on the plateau. Younger guests have their own programme, which can include astronomy at nightfall.
4 · The family dinner
One long table for all generations, seated as the family wishes. Short words are welcome, conversation does the rest.
5 · Second day
A morning session to close the work, then a shared moment before the return to Marrakech. Accommodation in the city can be arranged with partner hotels on request.
